Your spine works hard for you, allowing your body to make everything from tiny movements to grand gestures. We all generally take the hard work our spine does for granted until we begin to feel aches and pains. At Texas Wellness and Pain Center, our dedicated team of experts can help you determine which spinal condition may be affecting you. We will determine the proper course of treatment to help aid in your recovery.

Head and Neck Pain

Pain in the head and neck areas can manifest in a number of different ways, including pain, stiffness and numbness. Axial neck pain is typically caused by strain or whiplash; radiculopathy can also radiate into the arms and is caused by nerve compression. Myelopathy is caused by pressure on the spinal cord and can also cause arm or leg weakness, numbness or difficulty walking.

We can assist patients struggling with these conditions and more:

  • Stiff neck

  • Muscle strain

  • Whiplash

  • Pinched nerves

  • Trauma

  • Stress-related pain

  • Pain from poor posture, overuse of neck muscles and trauma

Head and neck pain may also stem from other serious, yet seemingly unrelated, illnesses, including carotid artery dissection or pain from acute coronary syndrome. Our experts will help you pinpoint the source of your pain so you can treat the overall cause, not just the symptoms.

Upper Body Pain

Upper back pain is less common than lower back pain, because your rib cage provides stability to this area of your body. It’s not quite as prone to the tweaks and strains that may affect your lower back or neck, however, upper back issues can still cause extreme discomfort, whether they come from sitting hunched over a desk all day or referred gallbladder pain. We can help you identify and treat upper back conditions, including:

  • Pinched nerves

  • Fractured vertebrae

  • Herniated discs

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Myofascial pain syndrome

Lower Body Pain

Lower back pain affects almost everyone at some point in their life; around 80 % of all adults report suffering from this discomfort at some point in their lives.

As we age and our bodies degenerate, lower back pain can become more severe, and can limit mobility and affect our ability to enjoy an active lifestyle. Pain related to lower back conditions can stem from the following:

  • Sprains and strains

  • Intervertebral disc degeneration

  • Disc injuries and tears

  • Herniated or ruptured discs

  • Sciatica

  • Spondylolisthesis

  • Trauma due to injury

  • Spinal stenosis

  • Scoliosis

Our experts will work with you to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual situation, so we can find the root of the pain, then treat it accordingly with the proper combination of rest, exercise, rehabilitation and/or medication. Our focus is on providing you with compassionate, patient-focused healing, so you can go back to enjoying the life you love.

If you’re ready to take control of your neck, spine and back pain, Texas Wellness and Pain Center is ready to help.
